Alien Silver

When a silver is applied as a base coat you will want to consider the level of metallic flake and base your base coat oven time with this in mind. In most cases (except for a couple of finishes) base coats are brought to "gel-out" or "flow-out" which is when the powder changes from a powder state into a gelled or melted state. For metallic base coats you will want to add some time to this gel-out or flow-out depending on the level of metallic flake within that base coat. This will make for a great combination!

Basically the two coatings of Candy Purple PPS-4442 with an Alien Silver PMS-2569 base coat will work well to protect your part and give a great appearance. That being said there are always way to add more finish protection.

Your Candy Purple PPS-4442 is your top coat but if you wanted to apply another Clear Coat for additional protection (from sand, rocks, brush) then our Clear Vision PPS-2974 would be a great choice. Applying a primer is not necessary but again, this depends on your use. If riding this ATV in a salt air environment or exposed to salt water then our Epoxy based primers are a great additional barrier to prevent corrosion from happening to your metal substrate.
