Transparent powder coatings allow the underlying substrate to influence the final color, depth, brightness, and reflectivity. The S-Panel image and Prismatic Powders swatches are applied over a smooth, bare aluminum substrate; while Super Chrome Plus UMS-10671 provides a bright, reflective base for candy and transparent topcoats, the resulting appearance will not be identical to the S-Panel or swatches. Less-reflective substrates may produce a softer or more muted appearance, so we always recommend shooting a test panel to confirm the desired results.

This powder is considered a Candy Transparent top coat and ideally would be applied in two steps over some sort of shiny silver/chrome base coat! If applied as a single coat over sandblasted substrate the results would be less than desirable if you’re looking for a bright and shiny candy affect.
