What is the thickness of your powders once it's applied I'm looking for 1 M L . And I will be the one doing the application .

Question by Support on Jun 12, 2018
ANSWER: It really depends on how heavy you apply the powder. On average the coating should be about 2-3 mils but could be much heavier. If you are looking for a thin film coating (1 mil or less) you should check out our Cerakote products. They are a liquid ceramic coating. NIC Support

Getting this color for rims on my SxS, should this color be applied as bade coat and then put a Clear of some kind over it( I have matte clear and Casper Clear)

Question by Support on Jun 11, 2018
ANSWER: Actually Black Jack is an exterior durable finish all on it's own so no clear is necessary, unless you wanted to lower the gloss even further. NIC Support

Would this color be a good option to do a set of exhaust tips in? I have a customer that wants a flat black, but does not want to pay for high temp powder or cerakote. Thank you

Question by Support on Mar 16, 2018
ANSWER: We would not recommend using powder coating on exhaust components. The heat would likely mean a short life for the powder. A high temp coating like our Cerakote C or Glacier Series would be a better option. NIC Support
