Candy Purple

This will make for a great combination!

Basically the two coatings of Candy Purple PPS-4442 with an Alien Silver PMS-2569 base coat will work well to protect your part and give a great appearance. That being said there are always way to add more finish protection.

Your Candy Purple PPS-4442 is your top coat but if you wanted to apply another Clear Coat for additional protection (from sand, rocks, brush) then our Clear Vision PPS-2974 would be a great choice. Applying a primer is not necessary but again, this depends on your use. If riding this ATV in a salt air environment or exposed to salt water then our Epoxy based primers are a great additional barrier to prevent corrosion from happening to your metal substrate.

Assuming you are referring to the gallery image of 4 rims under the Candy Purple color swatch (PPS-4442) on our website it appears that this Brilliant Purple Top Coat was applied over bare wheel substrate. If you do not have a shiny reflective surface like this to work with on your rims then I recommend applying over a Silver Metallic Base Coat. Our Super Chrome (USS-4482) will give the Candy Purple a reflective chrome like finish when applied and cured correctly whereas our Alien Silver (PMS-2569 or similar) will give you a beautiful sparkle as a base coat.

Keep in mind that our gallery images are placed by fellow applicators showcasing their work and can often times have miss-leading lighting and custom filters. These images when selected will have the colors used listed above the image but sometimes a color or base could be forgotten during the upload process.

Always shoot a test panel of colors chosen to make sure you are achieving the finished color you want before committing your final products to the coating process. Always a good idea to get customer approval of a color before committing their parts to the process.
