Extruded Brass is a light brass with a fine metallic. This color is a transparent polyester powder coat and has a semi-gloss finish.
Semi-Gloss: 37-70 Gloss Units
Transparent powder coatings allow the underlying substrate to influence the final color, depth, brightness, and reflectivity. The S-Panel image and Prismatic Powders swatches are applied over a smooth, bare aluminum substrate; while Super Chrome Plus UMS-10671 provides a bright, reflective base for candy and transparent topcoats, the resulting appearance will not be identical to the S-Panel or swatches. Less-reflective substrates may produce a softer or more muted appearance, so we always recommend shooting a test panel to confirm the desired results.

When applying Extruded Brass PPB-6404 over Super Chrome USS-4482 and soon to be Super Chrome II USS-10300 how long should I cure the base coat Super Chrome?
Answer from Admin
Super Chrome USS-4482 and soon to be Super Chrome II PMB-10300 both require a FULL CURE prior to applying a transparent like Extruded Brass PPB-6404 or Clear Coat. A top coat is highly recommended and actually required if you want Super Chrome or other high content metallic finishes to not oxidize. Depending on the metallic flake content (Super Chrome having the highest) cure/flow-out levels can vary. If you do not fully cure Super Chrome the finish will turn grey when curing your transparent or clear coat. There are only two finishes we offer that should be FULLY cured before applying a top coat and these include Super Chrome or Ultra Black Chrome. Because of their high-level of metallic flake a full cure is recommended to keep a highly reflective finish under that top coat.
Here is a link to an article that provides guidelines for curing levels of silver metallic finishes.
