We've been getting quite a few questions about our rare metal colors from our Illusion/Dormant Series. This particularly has to do with how the results that you get with these may not look like the color that you see online. Now the reason for the variation probably just has to do with the lighting. The lighting situation where the photo was taken that, you saw online, is probably different than what you're seeing it in when you're viewing it after you've sprayed it. This is one reason why we really push the free swatches, that way you have the color in your hand and you can see it in person, and you know what to expect.
This is Illusion/Dormant True Copper in some fairly yellow indoor lighting. And this is the rare metal swatch set in the same yellow lighting indoors; looks very different. So here it is, the same garden ball with Illusion/Dormant True Copper on it and we're in bright Sun. Natural light, and it's changed the color, actually looks quite a bit lighter than it did in the yellow indoor lighting. Rare metals swatch set in bright full sun. This is outside natural light in the shade, again you'll notice the difference. It is different. And then again in natural light, in the shade, these are the swatches.
So as you saw the color can really change based on the lighting conditions and this is not something that's exclusive to the Illusion/Dormant Series of colors but all colors. That's why we really do encourage you to get the swatches, get them in your hand, and then you can see them in person. And we make it really simple.
