Hey, it's Kirk with prismatic powders. Today I want to give you a quick tip when shooting textures veins and rivers. Now by their very design texture finishes have high spots and they have low spots. It's in those low spots where it's difficult to tell sometimes if it's open directly to the bare substrate which would be an entry point for moisture which could then cause corrosion or rust. Now our recommendation is to apply a primer base coat prior to applying a texture vein or river finish to ensure that the substrate is sealed away from any moisture which could cause corrosion. Now it's important to note that we don't recommend applying a primer of any kind underneath a wrinkle finish, wrinkle finishes should only be applied to a bare metal substrate.
