Custom AR-15 Rifle In Illusion Purple with a 3rd Party Clear Coat

Project Story
After shooting the Ar 15 I had built for myself, my girlfriend wanted one of her own. I wanted it to be special and not just plain old black like most everyone else’s. Purple being her favorite color I started looking around and stumbled upon this color. I powder coated it in the illusion purple and knowing I didn't want I super glossy, but not too flat finish I went with a satin finish clear top coat. I think it turned out well and she loves it. One issue I had was getting the clear to spray evenly and stick. I want to make it clear that the clear I used to be from another company and it may have been subpar, so it was at no fault to this company. The purple itself sprayed perfect and leveled out perfectly. Remember only bake this stuff till it wets, do not fully cure if using a clear top coat, which not using would defeat the purpose of this stuff. On a practice piece I made the mistake of fulling curing before top coating and I got an almost hammered feeling texture.
