I own several speakers that I use in my band. The grills on the front have gotten scratched and I'd like to redo them before they get rusted. I reached out to the manufacturer on what they use and they sent me this. I am no expert so maybe you can help with explaining what this means and is it something I can apply myself. Not the 5 step prep process but the color/ powder application. Thank you so very much for the help! POWDERCOAT PER ENGINEERING SPEC # 6.1 OF 000-00017. Prior to powdercoat, a 5 STAGE IRON PHOSPHATE CONVERSION WASH IS APPLIED. The finish is EPOXY BLACK MATTE POWDERCOAT.

Question by Support on Nov 14, 2018
ANSWER: We have a few black epoxy powders that can be used, but if these speakers are used outdoors then an epoxy would not be recommended. NIC Support

Do you have a anodized black finish or something close to it

Question by Support on Jul 04, 2018
ANSWER: A transparent finish would probably give you the best odds for an anodized look. Flat Trans Black PPB 6470 over Super Chrome USS 4482 may do the job, otherwise If you prefer more of a solid tone you can go with BLACK JACK USS 1522 NIC Support
